Our Impact: Addressing Food Insecurity & Enriching Summers

The Happy Tooth Foundation was initially founded to combat food insecurity, a mission we continue today through donations and volunteer efforts. Food insecurity is especially severe during the summer months when children lose access to school meal programs, often leaving them without reliable nutrition over weekends. To help bridge this gap, we proudly support TableNC, which delivers groceries to families in need.

In our early years, we ran a full-day summer camp in Chapel Hill, providing nutritious meals, swimming, biking, and running lessons to prepare kids for a youth triathlon. Campers also participated in arts, crafts, literacy, and music programs, and every child successfully completed the triathlon. We even brought them to our Chapel Hill office for dental and orthodontic care. By our third summer, we expanded our impact by offering scholarships for local day and overnight camps. Since then, we have partnered with the Salvation Army and Boys & Girls Club of NC, leveraging their extensive network of summer camps that provide the same essential services.

Through these past programs, we supported children and families, and we will continue with new initiatives to ensure they have the resources and opportunities they deserve.
